Into The Future
To date I've had 10 physical copies of issue 001 made as a test print and have passed them all out. I tend to agree with the major criticisms I've received so far, which is that it's very dense and somewhat hard to initially grasp, with small type that's hard to read in places. Basically I tried to pack too much information into too small a space. As I am enamored with the idea of "no space wasted" in other ttrpg publications I've enjoyed, this was what I was going for on some level, though I may have over-done it a bit. It was also suggested that I include more and larger artwork, an extended example of play, and that I explain how the game itself can be used as a magickal working to affect change in the so called real world, further explain how magic works in-game, and dive deeper into how settings and characters in different settings are linked together. So, I plan on the next issue coming in at about twice the page count, as I would like to get all of those things in there along with a more in depth look at the Subliminal Star setting while also letting various elements breathe a bit more. Once I have a finished pdf, I'll likely package the first two issues together as one project. I'll also probably go with a mix of full color and b&w for the inside pages as we move forward, the images for this devlog being an example of what to expect.
